The Whistler market continues to improve, with fewer listings, increasing anticipation in the market. The month of April remained active in Whistler with just over $50 Million in sales and 61 real estate transactions. Chalet and townhome sales have been driving the market including the sale of an Estate Home for over $10 Million.
The first quarter numbers are in for 2015 and Whistler has experienced the most active first quarter in terms of number of transactions since before 2008. We've seen the highest dollar volume of sales in a first quarter since 2008, falling just slightly short of the 2008 first quarter high point.
The US dollar is up when compared to the Canadian dollar, influencing American and Canadian buyers alike, as they find great value in the Whistler Resort and Second Home Property market.
